WoolBack was specifically designed to stand up to the rigors of everyday riding. Wool's natural resiliency reduces wear and with proper care it will provide years of soft cushioned protection. While synthetics only trap moisture between fibers, wool actually absorbs 80% of its own weight in moisture. And because wool is very porous, it allows for continuous air circulation and the release of moisture during use. Wool also has a unique structure of fibers that resists dirt penetration, and unlike any fiber, it has minute "barbs" that grip the hair on your horse's back to keep the saddle pad from slipping.

All Toklat Woolback pads are made with Western Wool (a longer pile than English wool with 1" fleece pile). All sizes are close but not exact.
